   Sunday Morning Reading

   Playing a bit of catch up after a week off due to some health issues and travel to visit the grandkids, so here’s some Sunday Morning Reading to catch up on and share as the world continues its wobbly spin.  Context is Everything. I concur with NatashaMH. Cat piss and all. Trigger me this: John Mellencamp says that one way to combat our US problem with guns is to start showing the carange on the news.

     @WarnerCrocker they don’t show carnage feeling the family would object or sue. Perhaps it wouldn’t. Perhaps they would want others to see the atrocity that happened, could happen, to anyone.

     @WarnerCrocker Any particular line weigh heavy?

     What I was expecting, which I recall as a final scene, was a throne room where everyone either drinks poison, or runs some other, or themselves through with a sword, until no one is left. Practically everyone in the play.

     What scene am I thinking of?

     Also thought I might see battle in a field, one of the Olivier films.

I recently ran across this article. https://archive.thinkprogress.org/history-of-christian-fundamentalists-in-russia-and-the-us-a6bdd326841d/ Someone shared it on Mastodon, I don’t remember who. The cultivation of the Christian Right by Russia goes way back even before the timeline in Kanefield's piece.
