     He was not a savvy seasoned politician. He actually thought Republicans were on his team. Pretty sure he has had a big wake up call. I hope he picks Ben Carson. We don't need some status quo like Scott to unite Maga with the fk'n RInos of the party. I don't know what to call non freedom loving Republicans so Rino is what I use. This new movement is not Republican. It's a takeover. 👍

     @Zennagain i think currently the new group likes to be called populists. i still hear the old group referred to as neocons. they don't call themselves that, but neoliberal/neocons seem to have remained a stable definition for some decades now.
     
     i tend to call a lot of the populists neotheocrats because a lot of them have a very heavy bent on christianity being part of their politics and a not very veiled attempt to impose the church on the population again.

     @magicalthinking @Zennagain i have some sympathy for the old guard democrats because you can talk to them and there is some kind of reasoning behind it. often times we actually agree on some of the problems but have wildly different outcomes (they tend to want to solve the problem with taxes and big government, i tend to want to do a more randian/stirner/taleb thing of putting things against natural forces)
     
     GOP has always kind of been the party of corpos. i don't really get along with the party ever, most of the rank and files who claim to be one really just want the government to fuck off.
     
     they're both hopelessly compromised though idk.

     Republican party is undergoing a change in a good way. National populist or Maga or whatever, are infiltrating. This is the best way to get good people in. The whole third party thing doesn't work out. The Dems have nobody. They ostracized Tulsi and RFK jr. They could have been a bonus.

     @Zennagain @magicalthinking i've seen some rather hilarious commentary about kennedy as of late. he's been relegated to the role of game theory token, because if they screw over trump in the wrong way the protest votes would go to kennedy. but while trump is merely incompetent and easily sandboxed (as proven by 2016), kennedy has his own network of informants, decades of experience suing these people, and has no qualms about actively declaring his eternal hatred for the state :blobcatfireeyes:
     
     its like reverse bernie sanders. they don't want him to run at all and are willing to burn all their goodwill but they also would like the other guy even less :blobcatlaugh:

     He was mild, inoffensive, ineffective, and likeable, which is generally what you want out of your VP. You don't want someone who's super loud and outspoken, or who has their own agenda.

     Presidential immunity is for congress to deal with. It prevents lawfare. Diplomatic immunity is different. Congress has to take charge of Presidential "crime" not some rouge DA.

     Since Obama-Biden admin I extra-judicial killing has happened and no one did anything about it. That’s already the norm. In this case if Biden killed Trump and removed the last moderate candidate it would be open season on all government officials from citizens.

     Given the poor performance of the DNC and deep state their own supporters would kill them first. :shrugz:
