@neil there's this one metal clothing website and i just re-command my regular jeans and combat trousers order every two years or so. I'm over a decade (and my second country) in at this point, and no one's ever passed comment (except to hit me up for the URL).
Can't buy much decent music there since it was bought by a major label, but the clothing side's hanging in there.

But I'm sour about how they got more tame and lost interest in actually selling music after Warner bought them.

Haha, that was where I bought everything before I discovered that I liked denim/elastene blends. 😁
And yeah, I feel the vague discomfort about military surplus shops, and their variable degrees of militarism and sketchiness.

@HauntedOwlbear @wonka An alternative would be a military surplus store, or as they're called in germany here: US Navy Shops. The one here in my town only got two models of trousers (coarse and fine fabric, each in black or camo), but they have enough pockets, they're sturdy and comfortable, though I need a belt for them, and they sell the same models for over 40 years now.
My only gripe with them is that it is a "military" store and I'm a pacifist...

@wonka @anathem I'm not a pacifist per se but OTOH, an army surplus store in my old city did shit like putting a confederate flag in the window, so some of them are definitely beyond average levels of jingoistic and are doing something else entirely.
(I was slower on the uptake back then and had to have the dog whistle explained to me.)

While I'd love to not need military, currently I feel the civilized world needs military to defend against orcs and show their leader that we won't give in.
