It looks like I'll have to install the Google Services: my Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 needs them and I can't get rid of it for now.
My next smartwatch will be a simple, notification device. I need notifications when driving, etc. and some outdoor sport tracking but don't need all the other fancy stuff those devices can provide.
🤨I'm so confused right now.
My reply that I replied above about edits says:
"Edit: This is an edit"
I literally linked it to you...🤨
Man, if Mozilla had spent any real time in the last decade making embedding/using Gecko feasible for anything except Firefox, there'd be so many Gecko-based browsers right now.
My entire journey with developing Gecko stuff and working for Mozilla started because embedding was possible (though difficult).
It's sad to see Mozilla management continue to just not learn anything at all. Misfire after misfire. But they're more important now than ever :(
@randulo Ooh, what are the equivalents? (We're here in .fr now, likely for keeps.)
So many people have gotten offended by my using the word vegan that I use "plant-based" now.
My feeling is that vegan offends two sorts of people: Fascists, who can [copulate] themselves, but also decent people who are subconsciously guilty about their meat consumption.
That second group shouldn't be alienated! It'd be much better if 90% of the world gave up 90% of their meat, than 1% gave up 100%
It comes down to, "Over the next 24 months, would your employer rather have your services, or a few more Nvidia Blackwells?"
And no, it doesn't matter if AI is frothy and over-hyped right now.
My mentees usually split into two camps on hearing this framing. About 80% are like, "Damn! OK, now what do I do about it? What steps should I be taking?" About 20% get mad at me for saying this. "That's not true! You don't know that!"
I've warned mentees in other companies about likely upcoming layoffs
It's still a welcome, considering the already _escalated_ situation, wherein, China is just waiting for the #Philippines, and its allies, to make a mistake. We definitely need every protection there is right now.
My question is, since I'm not knowledgeable with the Typhon system, would it have been better if they deployed it in a different region instead of near Taiwan? I mean, as far as protection it can give goes.
Then again, the US government's intent is always more than two, and one of it is to “protect” #Taiwan. It isn't so much for the Philippines only.
