     the point of Pihole is to serve an entire network making DNS queries, protect you from injected advertisements, etc. and not having to worry about backing up lists and rules on one machine.
     
     Pihole won't stop embedded youtube ads because that's not what it was designed to do. It's designed for DNS level filtering. Youtube ads come from the same domains as the videos anyway.
