The last three posts from the account have all contained the phrase “#evilSturgeon”, with a post from Tuesday evening reading: “If it isn't trending tonight it will tomorrow.”
(I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable non-partisan explanation for this …)

@cstross Evil Sturgeon is from the timeline where she joined the (locally dominant) Labour party & worked her way up through its ranks as a staunch unionist, while building up her wealth as a corporate lawyer; then as leader of the Labour party eradicated all traces of socialism while adopting Thatcherite (& further right) policies; now being poised to become PM with a massive majority of Labour-in-name-only MPs.
We're fortunate that there's no-one like that in our timeline...

@threenotch23 I have no proof that there is no corrupt dealing in the SNP, but it all feels a bit like the Republican witch-hunt for Bill Clinton over Whitewater, etc., which spent about $50M investigating him over years and eventually discovered a sexual affair between consenting adults, but no evidence of the criminal misdeeds or corruption they were looking for. Either the POTUS was a criminal mastermind, or there was nothing to discover.

@threenotch23 The Scottish government handled COVID19 messaging significantly better than Boris Johnson & Co., and despite being part of the same overall system there were fewer per-capita deaths in Scotland. Also, the current UK Tory government is heavily into crony corruption—they wasted over £30Bn on dysfunctional/unused PPE alone—while the worst they've got on the SNP is some infrastructure procurement incompetence and about a quarter of a million pounds in accounting errors.

@cstross not Scottish, but I lived in Aberdeen during the oil boom ‘70s. Love Scotland but I thought she was a popular PM for Scotland thus the hatred of her from the English. If she screwed up I’m sure she’ll pay for it unlike all the English politicians that screwup regularly and get re-elected. England and the US have that in common.
