A big no to ads on Amazon Prime Video -- we're canceling prime when the annual subscription ends.

@mhkohne @jwz @dangillmor Not to mention that Amazon is now the US AliExpress to me where there is sooooo many counterfeits, knock offs, and Chinese sellers where they don't even bother to remove. It's why I don't shop there anymore.

I just wish companies can sue Amazon for this.

@jwz @dangillmor That would be a dandy thing wouldn't it? I'm thinking of getting rid of it, but then...shipping is otherwise expensive and a number of things are not easily available locally. Tough call.

@dangillmor I have prime for the shipping of mediocre bulk products, and I looked for the option of "if I promise to never watch a video can I get three bucks back" but I couldn't find it.

@lauren @dangillmor OTA plus TiVos was honestly so wonderful compared to what the streaming landscape has become.

@dangillmor I might add, that if you're going to have ads on these streaming movie services, you might as well just stick with OTA TV. The whole streaming industry is rapidly devolving into the worst aspects of traditional expensive cable service, playing us all for suckers.
