   Academics uncritically using technology for “invigilating” tests & exams that is based on “facial analysis” that does not operate if you have melanated skin (a condition that has existed for thousands of years but not considered in “universal technology solutions”).

   Analogy: The human equivalent would be a lecturer refusing to mark your paper based on skin melanin level.

     @dahukanna Instead of spending hundreds and thousands of dollars for "preventing" cheating ed policymaking douchebags never stop to reflect on why is it that cheating exists in the first place, why are we assessing kids learning in a way where the notion of cheating comes into play.

     @dahukanna They have made learning and its assessment carceral and so the notion of "cheating" comes into play.
