@Canageek I wouldn't mind it supporting other stuff like Pidgin/Miranda, yeah! But XMPP is my focus because its lacking of good IMs and the ones that are around keep trying to pretend they're a mobile app.
@Canageek Pidgin kind of declined in recent years. Maybe things changed, I'll have to re-check. Mostly its support of OMEMO was either missing or behind.
It was never a clone of MSN Messenger UI, it just used the conventional UI design for the time.
@Polychrome did pigeon stop supporting xmpp or something? Or did it stop looking like a clone of MSN messenger?
it's what I switched from MSN Messenger to in like 2007 but I stopped using when I stopped using MSN Messenger and Google talk as my main instant messengers
@debacle I considered doing it but so much has changed behind the scenes in Gajim that forking the original UI before it got messed up into... whatever it is now is going to take a lot of work.
