   people forget this but while magical girls definitely existed before sailor moon... magical girl teams really didn't.

   It wasn't an original concept when sailor moon did it either because the concept was lifted wholesale from Super Sentai.

     @lispi314 it was proto-sentai it had a big influence on the very first super sentai as the same team from Toei moved on to make the first super sentai show right after wrapping on japanese spider man - and there was apparently alot of shared creative DNA
