      Nazis were a mixed bag. It seems weird to call them centrists, but on average, it fits.

      Calling them random extremists doesn't seem to quite do them justice.

      He got hung up on the "socialist" part of "National Socialist".

      An argument could be made that they were left wing, as they believed in many left-wing talking points.

      @tj Yeah I think he got hung up on that part too. But I personally don’t see them as left wing even if they had leftist views. They also had right wing views but I wouldn’t call them right wing. I think what they called themself and what most fascist call themselves is in the center a third position

      Not really. Fascism is still political and involves the state.

      Monarchy is more relaxed but has more demanding reward structures.

      This produces a Darwinian upward influence on the population.

      They were absolutely radical left wing (which Europeans and dishonest American leftists call right wing, but Nazis were just the "right side" of the left) Marxism is always left, but the elites that populate any movement tend to see themselves above pedestrian definitions of the day that we rabble scrabble over (think distraction). @Sulla

      The Nazis were radical progressives. Progressivism, which is a flavor of Marxism, is generally a creature of the left, but it's really a monster of the elites and they don't really care about left/right. They care about wealth/power/prestige/legacy and consider themselves above parochial matters of left and right. @Sulla
