Xfce works fine on xorg, as messed as xorg is, on Xfce it just starts and gets out of the way. If you're gonna use Wayland I wouldn't bother trying nothing other than simple WMs and compositors because everything else is bound to suck and break just like it does on xorg, Plasma being the worst offender. -
