  @vriska @Arcana @augustus gun bans actually forced the NRA to stop being mostly a conservationist organization and be an activist lobbying group. They heavily supported gun rights and usage of minorities. But this flipped after 9/11 because rah rah patriotism meant they had to ass-kiss cop-lovers which has a big overlap with racists.

  @Arcana @augustus @vriska there was also an official magazine of the NRA you got when you were a member. they had a section in it that just aggregated stories of people defending themselves using guns and often featured non white people. It also had stories of batshit FBI and ATF agents raiding and murdering people, including minorities. This also ended after 9/11 because they had to ass-kiss the FBI.
