@Dramamine What podcasts are even worth listening to at this point

It's a fucking scam. I just download podcasts/shows for 2x the flight duration at this point and accept that I'm going to be offline for that time.

the inflight Wi-Fi literally never works for me for some reason - I’ve even paid the like $5 or whatever and it never seems to connect

You can get in-flight wifi. I've tried using my data inflight and I rarely get a connection unless we just took off or are coming in for landing.

We may never know the answer unless we get a case law ruling on this one.

@Dramamine I had a bunch of geeky hobbies but about 85% of the podcasts ostensibly covering those hobbies transformed into COVID sermons and the other 15% transformed into those "racist" podcasts where they say jewniggertranny but not much else. None of them stayed on topic at all. It really sucked.

I'm very history biased. Hardcore History (you get 1-2 6 hour shows per year). Tides of History is good, but it keeps getting more ads. I like Blocked and Reported. Oh and I haven't completely kept up with Revolutions but that's pretty good.

If a podcast doesn't stay in its lane, I have a primal reaction where I just develop a thousand yard stare and get mad.
In general, I liked randomly listening to Joe Rogan episodes if the guest sounded interesting because he generally gave a good interview without being obnoxious. The last one I tried to listen to he literally could not stop going into side rants about the demoncrats or whatever, it was obnoxious. I need that in my life like I need Rachel Maddow ranting about the Republican death squads that are totally coming for everyone this time.
I just want to learn about the autistic things I like.

@Dramamine Imagine trying to listen to a podcast about, say, World of Darkness (the name for Vampire: the Masquerade, Werewolf: the Apocalypse, etc collectively) and then instead of talking about that they get right into their pronouns and how everything is problematic.

It's all a bit tiring.
I am a rare sports enjoyer on here, so I feel I get a double dose of it even when I want to watch my football games and they keep telling me to destroy racism or sexism, as if I'm not watching the most meritocratic institution left in the USA. I feel like this is almost based in regression to racial or tribal identity over anything else. Let me explain.
My favorite sport has a disproportional levels of black people at some positions and disproportionate levels of white people at other ones ect. there's some crazy stat about there not being a 1st round cornerback who was white in literally decades, and grifters on black twitter still get mad that there's a larger amount of great quarterbacks who are white. Why are people mad? Because they want to be. Why are the players selected? Because of performance, anyone involved in drafting or trading is the most colorblind mf, because their job is dependent on finding the guy to do that position the best. Why are there differences? I don't fucking know or care.
There seems to be a generational divide where people were raised expecting equity along some HR mandated guidelines or something so everyone doesn't feel some way.
As far as my team goes, the last thing I want to do is bitch about representation, I want the best fucking guys at that position because I want my team to stack up W's. I want division rivals and their fans to fucking seethe that my team is better than their team.
Large parts of the zoomer population seems to be unable to comprehend this mindset that you want to succeed and you don't care about their pronouns or ethnography or whatever.
