     Metallurgy is neat. I know nearly nothing about it at all, but I know I'll use my passing fascination as justification to drunkenly purchase a furnace one of these days. Well, that and also because I want to cast my own ingots from scrap.

     Yeah its a really cool concept to find and makes me wonder what other cool metal alloys could have been overlooked, like say a blue or red colored gold.
     It being something you have to manually shape from a cast piece will keep purple gold very limited I wager.

     I watched this a few days ago. Pretty fucking cool, actually. I had never heard of purple gold, and most certainly would have never expected an alloy of gold and aluminum to take on a purple hue. It's a real shame it's so brittle.
