I’m so far outside of the mainstream that I didn’t even realize that RSS-readers had gone out of fashion. I guess people really only get their news and important information from social media?

@Streakmachine That actually started when Google Reader shut down, it changed into people relying on RSS to switching to social media such as the now dead birdsite and Meta/FB to get their news.
It was obviously detrimental in retrospect.

@joeo10 Good point! I remember how annoying it was when they shut it down, being a perfectly functional and well used service. After that point it all got worse.
