   Essentially you'll have to upgrade your jank FireFish instance to Catodon if you want something newer.

     Ackoma was some troon who didn't work on the code IIRC.

     You have no idea how hard some people will LARP as a furfag of all things for attention, this guy on Telegram was this 35 year old boomer with the charisma of a wet shit who looked like a hobo claiming he was a school bus driver, and then claiming to be into that furry stuff after he played VRChat (and wanted to be famous like the other furries).

     I think that’s likely going to be less of a case over time, as it feels like anyone across any demographic or nation, roughly 25 years old or younger, seem to fall into this pattern, if they grew up primarily on the internet, where much of the mass hysteria online has been their environment of ‘normalcy’.

     There’s not much opportunity for passed down customs and culture, if they’re Terminally Online and/or hikikomori, of which many specialist developers fall into.

     @PurpCat@clubcyberia.co this is why I stuck with Misskey instead of a fork. Misskey has had a longer cook time, and has code contributors that seem to have a decent track record. (Even if I don't like some of the changes they implement.) Plus being that they are Japanese they are less likely to insert politics into their projects.
