@mima@kirby idk about being the same anglos love jews very hard, have terrible cuisine and are likely so hateful and depressed because they're physically incapable of making good food japanese are silly and schizoid and made a lot of great games and they make good cartoons chinese make cheap plastic and electronics french gave us metric, peugeot, cigarettes, eating copious amounts of garlic and if not the french, tf2 wouldn't have the spy i'd say only anglos are terrible out of the bunch and they're the reason why people attribute negative qualities to tea coffee is just disgusting and the fact people need entire flavor charts and the whole "well if you buy overly expensive coffee and waste time making it in a specific manner to make it not even taste like coffee" cope just makes it laughable to me, i can just buy caffeine pills if i need a pick-me-up
@lina@eientei.org Ok that coffee roast is actually funny lol :koakuma_giggle:
But personally I just get an instant packet, boil water in a kettle with good 'ol LPG, mix in the 3-in-1 to the hot water, and drink it. I couldn't care less where that coffee came from, coffe is coffe, bitter is bitter, and in fact I'd drink pure black coffee every morning if I find the need to
Meanwhile in tea you always have to wait for some time before you can enjoy it
Oh, and where do you get most of the caffeine for the caffeine pills? That's right, coffee beans. Just shows you how coffee has been a reliable friend of humanity for centuries :seija_coffee:
@mima@kirby is that an own that caffeine pills are basically taking the one good, useful thing about coffee and isolating it away from everything terrible its normally found in? i don't think so, it's like the romans looking at their greek predecessors and realizing "hey, you can actually have sex with women instead of men" that and you literally don't need to wait more than a few minutes to drink tea because teabags exist
@lina@eientei.org Actually the fact that caffeine pills exist means we produce so much damn coffee that we had to innovate on how to make coffee even more useful than it is to not waste any of it. So yet another W for coffee forcing people to innovate and improve
You still miss the bitter experience you get from actually drinking coffee though, so I wouldn't consider pills replacements but just complements to the hell weeks where you need to scrape off even more time for yourself instead of wasting it on waiting.
Oh "few minutes" to drink tea from teabags in water (wow such a lame way of making your hot drink)? What about "few seconds" after you stir your instant coffee for about 5 times? Fast yet still elegant and dignified. :seija_coffee:
@mima@kirby yea this reads just like massive cope man, you just feel stupid about having to drink hot diarrhea when energy drinks and caffeine pills exist, don't you? you will never sell this shit to me so just answer honestly
@mima@kirby no not really, tonic is one of my favorite drinks and i've been thinking of eating lemons whole with the peel sometime again it's just that coffee tastes like diarrhea, simple as
@lina@eientei.org Hmm, that must mean you have a pretty high caffeine tolerance. And where do you get that, hum? Regular consumption of like 3-4 cups of coffee. :seija_coffee:
@Tony@kirby@mima >not even enough for you to really notice i unironically had loads of fucked up nights when i would go to bed too late because i drank cola or iced tea in my childhood
@mima@kirby@Tony yeah but it's not even that much the unhealthy part and moreso the shit they pull to make and keep their shit popular that pisses me off the most makes me feel like i was taken advantage of growing up in the 00s while there was still this gay pro-west sentiment cuz the soviet union fell
@Tony@kirby@mima my parents were always against that shit but that's because they're older school and grew up in the soviet times when there weren't corporations trying to push mostly artificial products down our throats
It is bad for you and it rots your teeth. My friend was a fatty gamer as a kid and drank like a 12 pack of mountain dew per day - ended up having to get almost all of his teeth replaced by the time he was 18
@mima@kirby@Tony herbs often do help with coughs and colds so i'm not surprised that tea helps with that, adding honey makes it better, but i personally prefer milk with honey for that still, it really was that cola was seen as something "cool and hip" despite in retrospect nothing about it seeming cool or hip, it probably still is seen as something like that, but with all the knockoff colas on the market being around, i think it should change, then again, energy drinks exist and they're similarly seen as being "hip and cool"
@mima@kirby@Tony well they are like cola really, hip and cool and got a lot of caffeine and taurine does the job when needed but drinking them regularly is a death sentence
@lina@eientei.org I do not drink nor read about energy drinks so often to have an informed opinion on it, so kinda neutral on them. It looks to me that they do at least do their job of "providing energy", but beyond that idk. :sagume_think:
@laurel@Tony@kirby@mima this was my favorite soda back when it was still produced, i liked it even more than cola when another firm applied for a copyright for "baikal" in general, it disappeared and sometime later the factory where it was produced and bottled closed down altogether it was fairly popular, but these days the only baikal sold these days is just a pale imitation of what was before, kvas is a lot more popular though
