@ryanhoulihan
blaming the people you need to elect you, rather than acknowledging their complaints and working to do better is not a good way to succeed

@ryanhoulihan Every election in my adult life has been teetering on the edge of fascism. Vote Democrat or fascism wins. And they are right, that's pretty much how it will go down.
Democrats decide to fight fascism with candidates who have betrayed an entire generation. Candidates who will lose, be it in 2024, 2028, or 2032.
They refuse to put forward anyone who will strive for anything better and are gonna blame us when they lose.

@ryanhoulihan 2024 is going to be an unpopularity contest. If we make it to the election.

@ryanhoulihan I had an incident where I was saying 'I think former Potus is a crook, and current Potus was engaged in illegal activities before he was even elected' on YT.
They intercepted my keystrokes before I even hit the send button, flagged in red what it found objectionable and removed it from the body of text once I hit send.
Blocking political speech is sometimes shitty but altering it based on arbitrary criteria is so much worse. I screenshot that shit.. -

Some perspective, for whatever that is worth.
The almost exact same thing can be said about the Netherlands.
Some words may differ such as the left instead of Democrats but other than that the inability to come up with a candidate & programm that people with empathy and solidarity can support is infuriating.
I believe we are seeing the end of capitalism and democracy. No idea what comes next and that scares me.

The Dems are a personality cult.
The GOP is a religious cult. -

@ryanhoulihan Slightly different formulation:
How exactly will your life under Leader Trump become better?
Even if you think you are already at the bottom, it's a fallacy that the bottom you feel you are at, is really the worst case for your life.
And I'd like to point out that the Biden administration has changed signifiant things, e,g. how anticompetition law is enforced.
Sadly, it takes longer than 4 years to see the effects. It took decades till it became unbearable bad after Reagan. -

@ryanhoulihan That is exactly the point.
As much as you want to whine, see any feasible alternative to Democrats or GOP? No.
So realistically it's these two options and that means probably Biden & Trump.
Not voting, or voting GOP will not bring you one inch nearer to your dream. And that's a kind of unmovable point.

@ryanhoulihan I sympathise with your views, but we have to start somewhere. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.
