     @mint inter instance politics, differences in instance stacks, doomposting about instance stacks. Like we do this more than I've seen on other social networks it seems. It takes up a significant amount of my feed.

     @not_benis I think I already have. Usually I just go do something else, but whenever I check in drama is always happening and nothing else of major note. I think English is just a rude language.

     Yeah, I've been thinking about that. To me Japanese doesn't look expressive enough for you to be rude without being wordy. I mean you can probably tell apart not caring about you from outright hating, but not the finer grades. Probably why manga is popular, so violence can be… violent without becoming a whole page of text.
     So all interactions are more "distant" than in "rude" languages.
     Just my impression of language I barely understand, I might be wrong.

     @mint I think it's oversaturation of people with a similar hobby or skill set.

     In order to be here you have to be semi competent with technology. Finding people outside of that niche is difficult here. And thus topics become stale and in my mind cyclical. Like we all talk about different variations of the same thing.
