The other day, I literally has a 45 year old woman tell me that she's ready to have her first kid. She's single, and isn't seeing anyone. I didn't know what to say that wouldn't turn a casual conversation into a shitshow. I just said "kids are great" and avoided the issue. No need to beat on her. Life did that on its own. -

If it were a young woman talking about how she wanted to wait on the otherhand, I would have at least gently nuged her. -

sj_zero (sj_zero@social.fbxl.net)'s status on Thursday, 14-Dec-2023 07:32:57 JST sj_zero The age that the average person has kids is indicative of the general quality of life in an era, and that's been the case throughout history. People waiting so long they're infertile from old age indicates that today life is particularly hard despite being better off in material terms than most other times in history thanks to the advance of technology.
If things were as good as the elites tell us they are, then it would be common to have 45 year old grandmothers, since 21 isn't really an unrealistic time to be married and pregnant if you're not terrified about whether you can feed another mouth and lose an earner in the household.?? ?? Humpleupagus ?? (humpleupagus@eveningzoo.club)'s status on Thursday, 14-Dec-2023 07:35:34 JST ?? Humpleupagus ?? Bingo. And it's intentional. They set the system up to disincentivize having children. Then they introduced ways to fulfill the natural urge rule avoiding the naturally intended outcome. They introduced contraceptives and on demand abortion. At the same time, they tricked the population into believing that not having children was their choice, and not the result of the power structure. -

?? Humpleupagus ?? (humpleupagus@eveningzoo.club)'s status on Thursday, 14-Dec-2023 08:12:22 JST ?? Humpleupagus ?? I have a friend like that. He was in a long term relationship. He split alt-right, she went npc left. The wheels came off and now the time has passed for having children.
I have a lot of other friends from childhood who got advanced degrees and have real good jobs, but are still single. Their boomer parents pushed them into the zog machine, school and career above all else, and now their entire lineage is at a dead end. No grandchildren. Their boomer parents put the trappings of modern society above nature and I am sure they regret it. Unfortunately, their children paid that bill. -

Jolly Rancher (not_br549@jollyville.net)'s status on Thursday, 14-Dec-2023 09:27:50 JST Jolly Rancher my grandparents were born in the 19th century. but waiting so long has not been good for our family, re: Darwin. I won’t be having any grandchildren. Brother and I were talking about it a while back, and most of our first cousins will not have grandchildren either. Exceptions are umm, the less-educated redneck cousins living up in the Appalachians.
Cue the intro to Idiocracy.
