   If someone wants to know about Judaism and Zionism, ask a Jew. I am tired of coming across non Jews acting like the foremost authority on the subject. Most of the time they do not have the Jewish people’s best interest at heart.

     @carolw sounds rather like conspiracy theory to me without a factual evidence. No Arab leadership attacked the US. There is no such thing as a united Arab leadership. Countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Lebanon..all have very different foreign policies & relationship with US. The most that can be said is some terrorist groups ( not Arab States)attacked some US targets arguably in retaliation for US foreign policy ( e.g Iraq War).

     It seems a strange "co-incidence" that the Jews across eight countries were expelled within a single year.

     It's also not true that all Palestinians were forced to leave by Jews. While it's true some land was taken in Israel's independence, many Arabs were ordered to leave their homes by Arab leadership.

     Your argument that "The best interests of Jewish people do not trump the best interests of other groups" does not hold moral water because we are not discussing best interests, but rather simple survival of Jews as they were mass murdered in Europe and then has everything taken from them in the MENA.

     Where *exactly* should these Jews have gone? What exact policy of justice would you enact to preserve not only their lives, but the lives of the Jewish people?

     @carolw A rather strange position as Zionism affects not only Israeli citizens or Jewish people. You only have to think of the Palestinians killed and driven out their homeland when Israel was founded & in the intervening period. The best interest of Jewish people do not trump the best interests of other groups. All are worthy of equal consideration and none are worthy of special consideration to the detriment of the others. Impartial historians & commentators have much to teach us about Zionism

     @ScepticalScot1 imagine if the Arab leadership had accepted the UN partition plan before starting a war to annihilate U.S. or any of the other plans since then.
