     He was my state’s governor for a few terms. He would be better than trump but might hurt social services like he did for NJ.

     @ryanhoulihan To answer your question: The only two options are what they are, and everything you say or do, politically, supports one or the other. It sucks ass, but that's how American politics works, and we can't change that. Do I also want Democrats to grow a spine? Hell yes. Do I wish we had a viable option that would fix things and send Republcians to a gulag in Alaska with no blankets? Also yes. Is that ever going to happen? Sadly no.

     @ryanhoulihan "The democrats deserve to be beaten badly" is inherently a statement which supports the Republicans. There's no two ways about it.

     Given that the only two futures that can happen are the one where Democrats win and the one where Republicans win, I would think it would be in your own interest to try your damnedest to convince everyone to vote for the party that doesn't want to murder both of us.

     @ryanhoulihan You aren't being asked to vote for Biden. You're being asked to vote against fascism, and to not discourage others from voting agaisnt fascism. That's all there is left to any of us (I'm Candian and I hold American citizenship as well, I vote in both elections).

Any criticism, no matter how valid, of their candidate means you want the evil of the other party to win and destroy the world. Ugh. Give it a rest. Just nominate actual good candidates who will actually pass truly liberal policies.

Always being forced to choose between horrible candidates from 1 of 2 parties, and being told "if you vote 3rd party, anything bad that happens is on you" for HALF A FUCKING CENTURY isn't democracy! This is the REASON we always teeter on the edge of fascism - both parties violate and ignore human rights as a matter of principle.

     you're certainly right but when the GOP is so god-awful, well it reduces the power of your minority group. I know that sucks but it is what it is.

     The GOP will ban abortion, ban trans people, ban gender-affirmative care, and probably will ban contraception. So...we're stuck unfortunately.

     @ryanhoulihan Not to be a craven, gormless centrist but I think people should vote for Democrats in general elections (even though they are mostly useless and suck) - but I get being annoyed at liberals who call leftists Trumpistas for casting protest votes, eschewing electoralism or yelling at centrist democrats because they suck.

     Voting is a limited, tactical tool, and political participation is mostly doing things other than voting. It's more of a chance to pick your enemy than your friend.

     @ryanhoulihan Liberals are willfully obtuse. Treating legit criticism of Biden as a Trump endorsement isn’t going to get people fired up about voting for him. Telling us to shut up and focus on his “wins” isn’t going to help either.

     It’s beyond frustrating. I can’t help but feel like these people are getting played by the Democratic establishment and they’re trying to rope the rest of us in too.

     I wasn't sure if you were on the same general page as me (which it sounds like you are), or closer to the more don't-vote-ever side of things. If take the later side, then obviously we disagree, but I don't think arguing about it will improve our lives or society very much.

     @ryanhoulihan I criticize Biden and the Democratic Party because I want them to be and DO better where legislation regarding Israel/Palestine is concerned. To be fair, I do see President Biden and Vice President Harris also addressing this issue, as well as the economy, health care, junk fees, etc.

     @ryanhoulihan For real. Since 2000, it has seemed to me that the Democrats "lost" some Presidential elections with their messaging. One message that seems to lose voters, but I could be wrong, is "Vote Blue No Matter Who".
