      @coolboymew That screen reminds me of being impressed in Japan at how they're able to very precisely stop the train so you could effectively wait in front of where the door is going to be.
      Meanwhile in France you're stuck with waiting almost wherever because it's like less than 10m precise.

      @zaitcev @coolboymew Wow, that is impressive.

      Also not sure how hard it is, but I wouldn't be surprised that in France, trains barely have the right equipment (so you can precisely know where the train is relatively to the station) and of course training.

      @lanodan @coolboymew Weirdly enough Russians did it back in 1970s with ease, in trains that had no computers at all. It was required in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad) subway for all stations with doors. I vividly remember seeing that when I was about 6 years old. Very unusual for anyone used to Moscow!

      @coolboymew @lanodan Yeah, I don't know why they did it. There must be a reason. In Tokyo, doors in barriers appeared on the busiest stations first, primarily because their platforms were too narrow, and it was possible for people get squeezed out on the tracks. I think 2013 was the first time I saw them, and only in places like Akiba, Kanda, etc. on Yamanote. The first photographic evidence that I have is from 2015:

      @zaitcev @coolboymew Maybe there's some parts of St. Petersburg where they couldn't have stations without pillars next to the train? (specially in the 70's)
      IIRC here they had to reroute for the first metro line due to similar concerns even though it was computerized from the start.

      @All_bonesJones @coolboymew Portal credit section is more transforming the GBC into a weird audio card though, it's not really about the GBC anymore.
      And I'd seriously doubt it would be possible to pull off with actual hardware given the insane level of precision.

      @All_bonesJones @coolboymew That's a *much* different audio quality.

      Just read http://tasvideos.org/5384S that's linked in the video description, they're streaming the audio data through the joypad (8-bit of input), meaning you'd need sampling rate of the inputs at least equivalent to the sampling rate of the audio chip, not detailed and not familiar with GBC hardware but 8kHz audio was pretty standard even all the way to the 80's.
      So yeah, really big doubt on my part.
