The millennial grief is unique because they started programming our minds so early

Ours was the first generation with cable television. A massive cultural explosion so they could sell more toys

They fed us all these stories that basically boiled down to “you can have a great life and be okay”

But inequality has broken the deal, made it so much harder to redeem the coupon

@danilo Im confused why you think you are the first generation to expiernce that.... Seems most of the previous generations went through the same, just replace TV with radio, same basic deal though.

I think books are a little easier to ignore than TV or radio, but the idea isnt that different, more or less agree.

Yea in many ways the older advertising stuff was bonkers "Hey kids, buy our special BB guns, each BB laced with heroin and comes with a free 8--ball of cocaine too!"

That's what I was thinking. You could probably replace radio with cheap books as well if you wanted to go back further.

And when it comes to marketing to kids, the 50's and 60's are without compare. Those two decades made everything before and after look tame.

If you ever thought TV was real or something to aim for, it's you who has the problem, not a faceless, definitionless "they" you've invented to justify your angsty, pathetic adolescent outrage.
