Because clearly this is a privileged position. And clearly Musk is *abusing* this privileged position to get his attention/outrage fix, and to build out his myth more, thus reinforcing his privileged position.
I see that as a problem, to put it mildly.
Not to mention that obviously it's pretty fscked up that a single guy can be in such a privileged position in the first place at all. But that's a separate issue.
@rysiek When a single person is in control of a large EV manufacturer, the largest launch provider as well as the first mega constellation of satellites that has dual use potential to be a global ELINT platform, yes, their childish outbursts must be covered.
On a more serious note, there is a question that needs to be asked on how should this kind of crap be covered, really?
On one hand, it is important to document it for posterity (and perhaps legal proceedings).
On the other hand, it is extremely unlikely that Apartheid Clyde's outbursts can change anyone's mind on him or his companies, services, or products anymore.
And it is clear that he craves the attention. He builds his myth on it, in fact.
