   When "the Jews" were fighting the Roman Empire, and choosing Barabbas over Jesus, they were fighting an empire.

   Israel isn't an empire.

   It doesn't practice #apartheid .

   It can be argued that they've engaged in ethnic cleansing.

   Here's the key point: Hamas is incapable of being defeated because they'll never surrender.

   Which invalidates negotiation.

   There's just no solution.

     @SAUNDERS the jews didn't do too well the last time they "fought" the roman empire.

     Judea was destroyed and Syria Palestina was established.

     Some note from the british is not going to make people leave somewhere they have been for 800 years.

     I keep hoping to hear a solution which doesn't involve ethnic cleansing. Which is a misnomer if ever there was one. But genocide seems a bit over the top.

     Of course there is a solution, it is very simple and its the only one who will cause the least amount of suffering.
     
     "Leave them both Israel and Palestina to their own devices."
     
     The Israelis will negotiate peace the moment they have to pay for their own defence and can't count on Uncle SAM to fight their wars for them.
     
     And of course it will never happen for as long as the current USA empire is still standing.
