Why is coffee to go so popular on the US, do they not have coffee machines in their offices?
Or is it not really and it only looks like this on TV?

@simon @GreenSkyOverMe It's absolutely ridiculous. People follow brand names. Long ago it became a status symbol. You can walk into any convenience store (7-11 for instance) & buy a pretty good tasting large cup of coffee for $2 & sometimes get a free donut, but many folks would rather sit in their cars in line or stand inside places like Starbucks to pay $6. There's a place near me called Dutch Brothers where cars will line up 25 deep, waiting nearly an hour, to pay for a stupid cup of coffee.
@GreenSkyOverMe There is probably no coffee machine that makes coffee as badly as Starbucks, so they have to buy it there.
@GreenSkyOverMe I'm in the US amd admittedly I never drank coffee until midway through college. Only ever drank out of necessity for all nighters. Then again after I had kids. Then I over did it and had a reaction to accidentally drinking "jolt" coffee for truckers at the gas station and thought I was gonna die, so I rarely drink coffee.
@GreenSkyOverMe cuz capitalism keeps everyone perpetually burned out. So the bean water keeps ppl going.
@XoGloomnrainbows sounds scary!
