@fu @Aslanmane There's been a rising recognition of Advent season among traditionally evangelical-culture churches. Perhaps you'd find more embracing of the liturgy in other Baptist lineages, apart from the SBC. I won't say it's widespread, but it's definitely worthwhile.

Richard (aslanmane@theres.life)'s status on Monday, 20-Nov-2023 12:00:09 JST Richard @royal @fu I'm part of that trend. I observed Lent for the first time this year and did it solo (my church doesn't observe lent). I'm aiming to do it again, but this time in communion with others (presumably online though I'm hoping I'll find people to Lent with in my congregation.).
Discovering tradition has come via three main strands.
1. Online connection
2. Exploring Christian Symbolism in art
3. I've been persuing Church Membership.
and I'm discovering there's a wider pull to be part of the larger body as well. This could manifest individually and online (I've found the homilies of @FrJoshTX powerful) or (unlikely) - change churches which is more inline with the wider church. -
