@dabertime @Alice it’s very weird to associate virtue with any tech platform, but also given that both platforms are consistently very shitty to marginalized people, it’s absurd to dunk on one as not being “the right people”.

I have found that Bluesky can get a lot of eyes on posts.. likes, boosts, but little real meaningful interaction.Mastodon gets fewer likes and boosts, but a lot more genuine conversation interaction and sense of community.
The No algorithms here may mean it takes a bit of effort to start, but worth it. And no evil billionaires.That's my experience anyway. I'm sure it may vary depending on the community we're trying to connect with. I like it here.
