until I had cardiac arrest during another hospital visit..

Weird part during recovery is still being told how healthy my heart is. "Just" an electrical issue.

You might think it impossible for a gnarly rogue eyebrow hair to suddenly appear and grow 3 times as long as the rest, seemingly overnight, but you'd be wrong.

Asking me if I "want" to do any specific chore or errand seems like a wasted question. 🤔

Read something that mentioned Future historians and thought that was pretty optimistic. 🤔

I'm assuming that it's safer to watch playoff hockey now that I have a pacemaker.

I'm at the stage of recovery where I don't constantly think that I could be gone at any moment.

In year 20 of my midlife crisis.

Threatening legal action to force Canada to order American booze? Really?

Here's the thing..
Liquor stores where I live can order and sell American products. There is no government prohibiting it.

So, when I asked one store owner if he would be ordering more, he said that it would be crazy for any business to spend money on inventory that their customers have made clear that they don't want to buy.
Free enterprise, supply and demand and all that.

Sometimes it's hard to see eye to eye due to all the eyerolling.

Source of some years old mystery pain and health issues that often could not be duplicated in examination have taken on a new perspective in light of recent cardiac events.
My Neurologist agrees. So much so that I am stopping some medications to establish a new baseline over the next couple months.
Should be interesting.

Oh, and he was also surprised that I survived, but seemed pleased. 🙂

Twenty-eight days.

Today, it is exactly four weeks since I died.

Okay, maybe I didn't technically die, or maybe I did, I don't really know..
I do know that I did have a cardiac arrest and got CPR for three minutes before getting the defibrillator paddles twice and reawakening to a familiar, but somehow altered reality.

Waking up each day hits different now.

Good morning.

My internet provider phoned to give me a hard time for not paying my bill.
I apologized and explained that it was neither intentional or an oversight. I had been in hospital basically recovering from death.
The service agent then apologized to me and wished me well.
I still owed the penalty fees though. 😒

Well, I survived another heart event last night. I think that they broke a rib.
Anyway my heart is in chaos, and it's still a minute by minute situation, but if they can stabilize it enough and long enough, I will have surgery, a pacemaker, and a whole new palette of medications by the end if the week.

If not, it's been an hell of ride.
