     It's just hard to find out because the system incentives getting people hooked on pills

     I was the same. Was in opiates due nearly two decades. Haven't touched any in years and my pain is actually MUCH less. Probably developed hyperalgesia from length of use

     Ngl, I've noticed the complete opposite over the years since I've been on pain meds. I absolutely HATE having to take the medicine so i'm not rocking and crying because i can feel it slowly dumbing me down. It's not a lot but in numbs all of my senses and makes me feel like I'm walking through a thick mud mentally sometimes.

The deathcap mushroom is "natural" but I wouldn't suggest ingesting it. Unless there has been selective pressure to make a natural drug conform to humans, there is no added safety and the only advantage that it can confer is people having used them for a long time.
