@bleedingphoenix @Saber the archetypical super hero from the days of Superman was a jewish view of a Superior Person living amongst the Goyim. they are persecuted for their "superiority" and have to keep it a secret ("I've been found out") despite being (in the comic narratives) a force for good. we've so internalized that idea that people doing good and helping would be instantly persecuted by everyone around them, we need to realize how jewish the entire setup of a Comic Book Super Hero actually is.
The reality is that jews were historically persecuted for entirely justifiable reasons, so creating fake morality plays about how Superior people are Unfairly Persecuted for doing Obviously and Unambiguously Good Things is a working put of that historical anxiety over perfectly reasonable persecution. A story about someone being hunted for Saving People's Lives is catharsis for when their ancestors were hunted for kidnapping and murdering children.

Tying fox tails together with torches in between for your enemies fields is kind of cool. Sleeping with prosties and revealing your secret is gay, but going nuts and killing a thousands of your enemies in a self sacrificial act is rad.

He was supposed to be separated and not allowed to drink, cut his hair, or eat any forbidden foods. The whole point was for him to be a judge and live purely. He failed which is why he got his eyes plucked out (deservedly). God granting him strength was because Samson functionally repented and admitted that it wasn't his own power by asking God to help him get revenge for his eyes (actually destroying a ton of demon worshipping sea muts).

That being said, unless it was literally a hallowed weapon, Samson [the strongest man to have ever lived, according to proto-jews] would've broken that ass bone almost immediately. If it was fresh, every headcrack would be bone on bone. The donkey jaw would've been dust in a few strikes. C'mon.

if we're following the trend of God working in supernatural ways (pausing the rotation of the earth so a battle can end, for instance) i wouldn't doubt the jawbone had some power the moment Samson picked it up. that, or he was just so good at fighting he was running around using it like a dagger to slit throats or shank in weak points in armor. who knows, it's what makes it such an entertaining moment in the canon.

@grey @bleedingphoenix @Saber (((They))) have created a world where a genuinely good hero would be persecuted by them, first by lawfare, but if that fails by Mossad hit squads. This is why the only superheroes that come off as remotely realistic are masked vigilantes like The Punisher or Rorschach. Even people just trying to point out how evil the system are are getting threatened with jail time. What was ridiculous in the 1930s is completely true now.
