@nugger @blaaablaaaa @BowsacNoodle It could be that God knows who’s going to heaven and who’s going to hell. It’s not like transcending time dodges that. He must know who’s going to be there and who’s not. Does that circumvent free will any more than prophecies do? If you have more than one way to reach the same end, do you really have free will?

I mean, there has to be some knowledge for judgement to happen, right? And if we’re just “who knows”-ing then why not “who knows” the whole thing? Why have theology at all? Why not have a sign that says “theology has its limits” at the door and tell people to cross their fingers when they ask if they’re going to heaven? “Who knows?”
It’s my problem with it. Why not go about as though it doesn’t exist if we’re just going to shrug our shoulders at it? Why speak high and mighty about it if we’re going to reach a point where we just shrug and say, “who knows?”

That is how I choose to look at it. I may not be correct, but it satisfies my curiosity. The book of life, to be opened on judgement day, has the names of those who are saved written in it.

@Griffith @blaaablaaaa @nugger He does know. He just chooses not to look. That's just my opinion, human to human, trying to give an answer in the realm of logic and reason to explain something paradoxical and impossible and beyond reason to us. We aren't omniscient, so the concept of omniscience and its operation is foreign to use an only conceptualized in a binary "know everything or not" way.
But we're told repeatedly by those who walked and talked with Jesus that we can be saved by calling on Him and asking for repentance.

my suspicion is that Satan's & the daemons' beef with humanity is that we are slated to be divine beings yet incarnate just as the Messiah Jesus of Nazareth was. recall at the end of the Fourth Gospel that He returned with a body and that Doubting Thomas put this finger in the holes in His hands and in his side where He was speared.
so my guess is that like Jesus we have a participatory role to play in Creation and are therefore "closer" to the Heavenly Father's divine nature than even the angels be. i don't think God is omniscient in the sense that He knows everything that you might do; this negates free will and defies the idea that we are meant to be co-creators with the Deity & His perfect Son. what is my proof for these assertions?
well Satan & his daemons acknowledge humanity as uniquely blessed by God and they're so pissed about us that they spend every second of every day attempting to induce us to debase ourselves in pride; what more proof do you need that i'm onto something here? thank you friends.
