That's just my opinion, human to human, trying to give an answer in the realm of logic and reason to explain something paradoxical and impossible and beyond reason to us. We aren't omniscient, so the concept of omniscience and its operation is foreign to use an only conceptualized in a binary "know everything or not" way.

But we're told repeatedly by those who walked and talked with Jesus that we can be saved by calling on Him and asking for repentance.
