     This ignores the very plausible theory that the War on Terror response likely lead to the growth of extremism and creation of ISIS in the first place.

     Yes Israel has a right to use whatever means necessary to get back their civilians still in hostage. But unnecessary violence and humanitarian crises should be avoided.

     @freedomtux @Nazareno Isis also had Israeli backing, likely to drum up jingoistic support from the left wing Israelis and keep the west involved in destabilization of Israel's neighbors. I don't have source docs for that claim, but there's a LOT of circumstantial evidence and probably some red handed stuff out there.
