FDR, hearing about the same risks, did. If that sounds unbelievable, consider also that Hitler refused to use nerve gas when he was the only one to possess it, while Churchill actively planned to use anthrax bombs on German civilians. Democracy produces psychopaths as leaders.

It seems farfetched that doomsday weapons are available for any country with 1940s technology and not a single one has ever been used in anger since the 1940's!

     There's also a, albeit ever so slim, a chance that they never followed through on their nuclear ambition. The Western world does their bidding regardless of whether the IAEA has confirmation, so complacency is possible.
     
     Besides, programs costs shekels and kikes love smoke and mirrors. Look at all the grifts in Ukraine. Meanwhile, North Korea definitely tested. Iran tested. I'm a show-me kind of guy, won't rule out aliens in flying saucers but I won't hold my breath waiting for 'em to show.

Israel wouldn't even need to test them, there's probably just some classified document signed by a jewish "american" general saying, "Here you go Israel, take 50 of them for free."

Just like the TSA after 9/11, or the useless masks and vaccines for covid. They're not doomsday devices, but they would wipe out a portion of a city if used on one, like a downtown area. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were dense cities made of wood, so the bombs created massive fires that made their effect worse for their size. Most radiation would be gone in 2 weeks. The real danger of nuclear war is infrastructure collapse, leading to mass starvation because cities can no longer supply food, pump water, etc.

     Even if Israel fell, Jews in general would survive elsewhere unless they blew up innocent people and made everyone hate them.
     I doubt the Jews in charge would actually do the Samson option, but I know some of them want to right now.
     More likely they blew up Mecca, which is slightly different.

No one will want to support them after that, no one will want to take them in. It'll be a whole nation getting the Gaddafi treatment.
