     @GottaLaff @barney @samhainnight Why doesn't a gag order take precedence over a defendant's First Amendment rights, particularly concerning their trial? I understand the concern, but what is the purpose and legal basis of a gag order if it can't effectively achieve that? In its essence, a gag order represents a judge's authority to limit what a defendant can say, seemingly conflicting with the First Amendment.
