   I have a Radeon RX 6800 XT, which is a great GPU. but it does not work well with a AI stuff I want to do, mostly Stable Diffusion, CLIP, transcoding video with ffmpeg (although I found a way to do it on AMD now)
   
   I could sell it for maybe 450 EUR and buy a Nvidia 4070 Ti 16GB for that money. however, that card is 25-30 percent slower in games.
   
   the next level up, a 4080 or 4090 I don't really need and they are way too expensive for what I want to do.
   
   guess I don't do anything and just wait another year or two :sadcat:

     @kaia what exactly do you want to do for AI? what games are you playing that a 4070ti is not enough for? why do you need to AI locally and not just rent a server for pennies?

     @why I want to play more with image classification, but pytorch does not really work for me with AMD. TensorFlow, Keras etc. I'd also like to do Stable Diffusion again. I wouldn't want to send my images to a server and have them classified there :akko_mmh:

     @Natanox I tried ROCm on PopOS, Lubuntu and Arch now and even had a friend who knows more try it for half a day, without real success :saddercat:

     @kaia I'm confused. I know my 5700 XT is problematic, but wasn't ROCm designed to work well with the 6 and 7000 series? At least you could make it work. 🤔

     And honestly I don't trust those kinds of benchmarks because so many times they massively fuck up at setting things up properly.

     @kaia @lanodan @hj What is the base for this test? I get 5 iterations per second on an 6700 XT with 512x512 images.
