@fpcgc@LaylaAlexandrovna I do similar, I have dinner early and am often so busy in the mornings that I'll just rely on hot drinks to get me through to 11 or lunch time. I couldn't tell you if it helps weight loss because its not done in a vacuum. I walk about 12 miles every day atm, so obviously I'm burning up lots of calories too.
But I'll say this, once you get over the initial shock of it, you don't notice the hunger pangs in the same way. It's easy, perhaps too easy if you consider some people take additional suppressants, to get into a routine of "forgetting" to eat once you're in that zone.
@Lady_Penelope@fpcgc Wow, TWELVE MILES!!! That's amazing. Good on you. How long does that usually take?
I was walking a fair bit for a while there but only 2-3 hrs and that didn't last long because it kills my wack feet, hips, butt. I had to stop almost all of that due to my mysterious illness and the sheer agony in my glutes.
I'm now over 69 and still trying to figure out if there's a chance I can beat this mystery!
Inccidently I had an appt with a dietician and one more coming up and her ideas were all very much out of date.
@LaylaAlexandrovna@fpcgc Those 12 miles are built up over the day, it's a 3 mile round trip to my kids school, and I do that 3 times currently because my nursery school one is on staggered finished times until the end of the month. But I also run errands while they're at school which adds another 2-3 miles. When he starts staying full time, he'll be done around the same time as his brothers, so one less trip. I also do this pushing a one year old in the pram and a 3 year old on a buggy board. Satan is literally going be stuck for punishment ideas when I rock on down there.
@Lady_Penelope@fpcgc Wow good for you! Even as a youth I would never have had the energy for such a vigorous routine! (I decided against motherhood but that took some doing. I still ended up having a son - who was adopted at birth but whom I've known since the mid 90's.)
@LaylaAlexandrovna Im too lazy post partum to make myself something to eat so I’ll often go an entire day (8pm to 5pm the next day) without eating. I don’t think it does anything good for my body, except maybe aid a little bit in weight loss. My blood pressure, and heart rate are as they’ve always been, and my knees are still worse for wear.
