   Nobody talks about that iron dome in Israel. All the rockets defense systems. Was it switched off?

     @MartinJJ @mhjohnson I think you're both right. I remember someone did talk about that "option", but they stopped talking about it when someone pointed out that it was completely unrealistic for a country the size of Ukraine, so they never had it

     You are most likely correct, but they spoke about it like an iron dome. Of course they where no match for the Russian army outproducing all Western countries combined.

     As I understand it - they never had an "Iron Dome" in Ukraine.

     They did have a few Patriot batteries but I thought it was seriously damaged back in May.

     This story says the number of missiles overwhelmed the Iron Dome

     5K missiles in 20 minutes.
     Prior attacks had that many missiles over two weeks or so.

     What I don't find is they fired at "X" incoming missiles and hit "Y" (for a Z% success rate).

     Yeah, that sounds like it probably was, but they tested something first that got blown up.
