    to print on Linux, it was easiest to set up Syncthing on the Windows PC, transfer the document and print it on Windows where the printer was automatically installed

      @kaia If you ever need a new printer, consider buying one from Brother. They have really good Linux support.

      I just use a super old printer that doesn't even need specific drivers lol

      @zappes @kaia i can confirm this, i had a samsung printer that was supposed to be supported but it was a nightmare, it sometimes worked but most times not, got the brother and everything worked right away

      @zappes @kaia Get something that supports PostScript or PCL. That should work on about every OS without problems. Refurbished laser printers are cheap and reliable.

      @tk it's a printer that needs to be set up with proprietary software before working in Linux with CUPS. I could not be bothered. it would run the entire time and I only need to print at home once every 30+ days
