Yeah, "instances" and "servers" mean the same thing on here, it's the place you signed up for an account.
As BrisWombat said, you can see your account's server in the second part of your handle.

On ko-fi you can choose whether to be anonymous or not.
On Liberapay, anonymity is the default setting. I tried it for a short time with anonymity switched off, but it revealed people's donations even for ones who had donated when it was all anonymous, so it seemed better for privacy to return it to the default.
If someone who has donated via Liberapay wants to claim credit, they can DM me with the date and amount (which proves their identity) and I'll do a shout-out for them.

p.s. I don't see who is donating on Liberapay, the payments are made to me anonymously via Liberapay's own systems, but I do see amounts and dates, so that is why those things would prove identity.
