"Thoughts and pics from yesterday's march on #ottawa :
Very peaceful; There was no hate directed towards trans folks at all!!; I'm still unclear as to what rights trans people feel they dont have; Why does not wanting sexualized material in schools seem threatening; One tran person told me they feel the other side want to "kill" them .. where did they get that idea from? They wouldn't talk to me after giving me the finger, so I never found out; There were a lot of grandmothers marching; Approx 3 to 4 thousand from the parental rights side; Approx 10th of that on the other side (including CUPE); Why was CUPE involved?; Why did Mayor Mark Sutcliffe only speak with one side?; Amazing to see so many diverse people come together .. Christians and Muslims were united.. that should indicate how common this concern is; Not accepting gender ideologies to be taught in school doesn't mean not accepting trans people; . Open to respectful discussion from all sides. Please share your thoughts "
@AnungIkwe When they say that we want to "kill" them, it's because they seem to think their existence depends upon other people thinking and speaking correctly. It's a Narcissistic delusion that elevates their own feelings and wishes as "Rights" and tries to invalidate other people's feelings using hyperbole like "suicide" and "genocide". I know you already know this, just wanted to spell it out.
@SeaWolf I sure do. It's all about privilege not rights. They just weren't raised right. They were raised out of balance to think that their individual feelings come first and the needs of others come last. They were never taugh discipline or respect for others or how to delay gratification for a higher end. We have an entire lost generation because parents thought protecting children from the reality of the world would help them, but it's only stunted them.
