Idk what they cut offs are for standardized deductions and itemizing. I work for myself so I itemize everything. I do know there is a cut off. If you are married the cut off is higher.
If you're self employed, even partially, you start writing everything off. Basically look at what the standard deduction is and if you have a way to earn close to as much on a self employed side gig, you can start itemizing and claim a lot of stuff. I'd joke about just not paying taxes but the IRS has guns and they hire women now, so it's going to be a bad day for a lot of people when they reach for their "taser" because you're closing the door on them.
Married with two kids. Single income. Ain't no way I'd need to itemize unless I started making twice as much and I'm not a damn accountant so I've no clue how that works anyways.
