Tim Dillon rant
"I hope I'm wrong, or if I'm right, I just hope that I'll be dead, or I get to be one of the people who's keeping everybody else in a cage"

@lebronjames75 the only part I disagree with is I don't think goodies will be sufficient to keep people pacified. he barely predicted anything, he just described what's already in progress.
this is one of his weaker rants I admit.

@Moon half of his rant was fucking stupid
i wish i could tell him "you got the right answer but every single method and deduction you said was wrong"
the other half was "yeah"

Not enough to keep us satisfied but what about the up coming generation? The one after that? The one after that? They've been slowly eroding that where they can, generation by generation.
I don't think it will get that far though. A lot of the younger generation is actually really pissed off and dissatisfied with things. But it isn't outside the realm of possibility.
I think they overplayed their hand and don't realize it yet.

@Silverwolf @lebronjames75 I am not sure because it seems like half of zoomers are filled with righteous anger from being denied basic stuff previous generations took for granted, and half are literally braindead from media indoctrination

I like his rant about how retarded people in cities like Los Angeles are.

@Silverwolf @lebronjames75 I am gen-x, we basically are hoping we can ride it out the decline and die before it gets too bad.

It could go either way. But I notice Zoomers are a lot madder than Boomers, Gen X and Millennials overall and those three are getting pissed too.

I don't see that strategy panning out for the Boomers, let alone Gen X. But we'll see.

@Silverwolf @lebronjames75 it's not gonna work no. I don't blame anybody but boomers. The thing with gen-x is we already saw the cracks but boomers assured us there were no problems, just shut up and ride it out. our sin is we were lied to and believed it.

Same for millennials. Though we are kind of baby boomer 2.0, we added a lot of garbage to the system and pushed it even further.
I've always been shocked at how much people my age or slightly younger than me will leap on convenience and hand wave concerns about freedom or health.

@Silverwolf @lebronjames75 my last job we hired a bunch of young people and they just don't get it, they don't give a fuck about privacy, they are as dumb as boomers about it, they don't realize the problem until it bites them, personally, on the ass and by then it's too late.

I hate seeing it. For as tech savvy as 90s millennials and zoomers are they do this dumb shit all the time like its normal. Because it is for them. Not having social media and spilling your guts out on it is abnormal to them.
It makes me glad I was born in the 80s, I slipped in right under the wire on being too young to comprehend why posting my Ls on social media was a mistake. I still did it on old message boards though but most of those are dead, gone, and not even the wayback machine can recover my cringe. Good.

And degeneracy.

Going by what I saw in the thread, Gen Z is an interesting experiment and so will Gen A.
These are the first generations to truly have less than their forefathers, not only that, but the two who have been raised by literal instant gratification.

Instant dopamine rushes, convenience, and "smarter" technology has all contributed to degrading familial bonds, culture, and low time preference.

Silent and Greatest Gen. The Lost Generation that fought in WWI was absent in Europe due to death and honestly got pretty degenerate in the roaring 20s. That and the depression I think might have fucked up both... but there have been similar cataclysms to the world wars and depression in the past. The plague wiped two thirds of the European population at one point.
There's a lot of variables at play here. But every little shitty thing has helped.

@Silverwolf @Moon @lebronjames75 The latchkey generation also didn't have parents at home to raise and guide them, to teach them how to do things. I think a part of this might be down to both parents working or leaving them to raise themselves or their peers.
But then I just wonder, what about the silent generation? The world wars perhaps fucked a lot of things up because so many lives were lost. This may have broken a chain when it comes to educating the next generations.
Either the grandparents and family were close by and so could help raise the children which we have lost now since we move a lot now or we have a few generations now that just don't know how to do this. They don't know how to communicate with teenagers. Technology does it for them and now so many teenagers are caught in this loneliness trap where they look to strangers for support and guidance. It hasn't gone so well.

@Silverwolf @Moon @lebronjames75 It boggles my mind as well. But then again, their parents probably didn't teach them about this. Probably let the technology raise them at this point and expected them to just learn everything through the internet.

Technology raising kids has been a growing issue. I think Boomers being the first generation raised by TV is a big part of their problem.
