I'd go further and say that just because this initiative was started in tech, there's no reason why other fields can't consider fighting for public health and safety at Events. The need for robust public health policies that enable more inclusive events is universal.

Well we do have a form of event badging, it's what the @phpledge is doing.
https://publichealthpledge.com/badging@josh has been working on advising events like #fossy and @NorthBayPython and helping with making a Robust Health Policy.
If we can encourage more events to sign up to the pledge it's safer and more inclusive for everyone.

Much like the fight for COCs it takes public pressure.
Which is why on occasion there are folks who have signed the pledge ask events to create a robust public health policy. @SeaGL are one of the upcoming conferences that do have a robust public health policy.
