   @emilygorcenski honestly, I moved to Cologne 8 years ago. It’s an absolutely mystery to me how that remains a challenge in the capital of one of the wealthiest nations on the globe ..

   First thing I did after the move was getting a new ID card, a new passport and have my move entered into the record.

   Didn’t need an appointment, just went to the Bürgeramt at 7:30, waited for 10 minutes, got all of it (!) done in 15 minutes.

   Berlin‘s public service infrastructure is bullshit.

     @emilygorcenski ich hatte neulich alles, von dem was du da hast, dann “system grade kaputt, ka wie lange noch”, dann “Wartungsarbeiten”, dann wieder keine Termine und dann hatte ich einen, in drei Monaten.

     @computersandblues @emilygorcenski yup, wenn ich immer einen Perso dabei haben soll, dann muss auch geregelt sein, dass ich einen bekomme. Bei Ausweisdokumenten mit Ablaufdatum ist das alles ja auch extrem gut überschaubar und einfach planbar. In der Theorie.

     @emilygorcenski @janl wenn die dinge dann auf der anderen seite wenigstens nicht verlangt würden… ich habe schon seit über einem jahr keinen physischen führerschein mehr, nachdem er gestohlen wurde und ich hier einfach keinen neuen bekomme.
