   fedi really could do with a flow chart of: a complex social issue has occured > is the issue about me? No> is the issue about people i know personally? No> am i able to resolve this issue by speaking privately to people that i know? No> am i an admin/mod who has to take action and can talk to other mods? No> Am i able to help reduce the temperature of this issue? No> etc etc

     @dpflug yeah i have a friend who works for a progressive feminist organisation and she has to carefully manage female politicians and celebrities who dont have a good grip on issues like trans rights and its basically her job to stop them from using social media or random press interviews as a place to just throw out vague thoughts on the topic, and instead to be like hey why dont i arrange a sit down with you and this trans elder who youd get on really well with and then after we can talk about further considerations and how to best go forwards. Like always hey maybe lets do this not online or in the media. She is basically the human flow chart for this stuff, always hey have you ever had a cheerful but meaningful conversation and properly related to someone who is part of the minority you're thinking of? No? Ok lets see if we can make that happen.

     I've often wondered if similar flow charts for culture war topics would work at all.
