   If you consider yourself a progressive, many of America’s elite and financial class now hate you* because they hear hateful messages from Murdoch. Today’s Ed board piece, smearing progressives and smearing climate progress.

   *It has been notable how finance circles have started to spit on “progressive” over the last few years.

     @protecttruth It's partly because progressives -- US! -- are too stubborn to realize the power and importance of words, emotion, and story, and instead keep bleating about issues. Issues aren't inspiring. Myths are. Until we learn to speak in that language and frame things better (like people like George Lakoff and Drew Westen have long recommended), we will be fighting with one arm tied behind our back.

     I think Anat Shenker-Osorio’s work today is much more powerful and developed. She took these older ideas including from Lakoff and has done a lot to develop them.

     Ps Altemeyer is also interesting on authoritarian personalities
